Poisonous plants, toxic plants, pet-friendly plants.Lilies are Poisonous to Cats
Taking in pollen while grooming, eating part of a leaf or a flower can cause kidney failure in cats.Rabbits are not for Easter
95% of all Bunnies and Chicks sold at Easter will die before their first birthday!Lost Opossums
Many orphans can be left a few hours to see if mom comes back but NOT OPOSSUMS. If you see a baby Opossum in a yard or anywhere, get it quickly in a little box or pet carrier with a blanket and keep warm and call a wild life rescue. Momma Opossum can have up to 13 babies. As they grow, they do not all fit in the pouch so they ride on her back. If something startles her and she runs, one can fall off. Momma does not know she lost one so please never ever leave one thinking mom will come back.Protecting Young Rabbits
Cottontails are being found Everywhere Here. Click here for pictures of examples to protect the bunny nest for 14 days before they move along. They let mama IN to feed while keeping predators OUT. You may never see mama as she is only feeding the babies twice a day, not being seen. If you are still worried whether she is coming by, apply this technique: place flour or sticks around the baby nest and if disturbed you know sh has come by. Thank you Wild Souls Wildlife RescueIt is completely normal to see Raccoons out during the day
Raccoons are NOT nocturnal, they are diurnal, which means they are active during the day and night. They also become more active during the day if they live near humans, especially in towns. In Spring, they are foraging more for food because of lost calories during their torpor season (kind of like hibernation in Winter). Moms are needing extra calories for their milk production for their newborns or on-the-way cubs. So please, if you see a Raccoon out during the day, it is normal, do not assume it is sick.Foxes are not a threat to you or your dog, cat or child
Foxes are related to dogs and as intelligent. Their main diet is earthworms, rodents, eggs, birds if they can catch them, and carion including road kill. Chickens of course if they can get to them so make sure YOU keep your chickens secure! Please do not hurt or trap Foxes. It is illegal! There will be cubs soon. Show mercy. Watch. Learn. Live in peace with nature.
